An Angel Is Born
Jessica was born July 3, 1992. We adopted Jessica from a dear friend of ours. She gave us the biggest gift of love. She weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches. The most perfect baby. She grew so fast and took our hearts and wrapped them around her little finger. She was always a petite child. Gentle and loving by nature. She had the most wonderful brown eyes that would captivate the hearts of anyone. Everyone loved her that came in contact with her. She was special from the start. As she grew she developed a personality that was full of fun, life and mischief. She loved her brother Tommy so much. Always wanted to be around him. And the bond that they developed was a wonder to watch. Jessica was a barbie baby until she reached approx. 6 years old. Then her love of horses and animals came to life and as she grew it grew also. She had plans of graduating and going to college and then moving out west to work with mustangs. I think she would have adopted them all if she could. There wasn't a model horse she didn't have or at least had on her Christmas and Birthday list. She ate, breathed and lived horses. She was always reading some book or another about horses. And if she was on the computer, she was on a website about horses or in a chatroom talking about horses. Her 1st and last love was a horse. Her dad purchased the two horses she had. Jewel and Ricky. She loved them with all her heart. Jewel was being trained by Richard Bridgers so that she could show Jewel and go on all those trail rides she and I used to talk about. The day she became an angel, her dad had taken her to her riding lesson. Richard took her along a 4 lane highway to go to a store they had gone to before. For some reason, Jewel bolted and ran into traffic where Jessica and Jewel were struck by an 18 wheeler. It was a tragic end to a child who trusted and loved everyone. She was taken too early from us, but she lived long enough to become my inspiration. I want to be like her. I know that she's in heaven waiting to see us all again. She and Jewel are riding across the great expanse of heaven rounding up God's herd for His return. Her bright and shining smile, her laughter and the sight of her growing up to be a brilliant woman in the horse world and in our lives will be missed forever. I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!
